Exchanging experiences on the subject of Participation and Social Control



On 4 and 5 November, two members of the institutional team had the opportunity to participate in an exchange event on the theme of Participation and Social Control, organized by the National Network of Citizen Participation Social Control in the town of Jesus de Machaca (Department of La Paz).
In the event involved a total of 43 persons (20 males and 23 females) between representatives of the watchdog committees, representatives of various social organizations and Institutions (members of the National Network of Citizen Participation and Social Control), together with the Mayor Municipal Councillors and Originating Authorities Jesus de Machaca.
According to the opinion of Happiness and Nitza, who participated on behalf of Yachay Chhalaku, this exchange has been during these two days, and 43 among participants in this exchange has been very beneficial both for themselves and also for representatives of social organizations, can find a success story in terms of effective processes for Participation and Social Control from the base and according to custom, as is the case of Jesus de Machaca.

Finally, last Friday, has made the launch event of the 3 Chhalaku Yachay publications relating to educational work that has developed over the past 7 years, both in rural communities of the Municipality of Sacaba, as well as with schools City of Cochabamba.
Despite the submission match with the opening of the Olympic Games Plural, the event has enjoyed good attendance, with approximately 60 people present.
Past exhibitions by Margaret, Elizabeth and Chris, presenting the report, the Education Workbook Binder intracultural and Intercultural Education respectively to the public, was attended by Dr. Fernando Garcés, Prof. Humberto Ortiz (Executive Secretary of the Teachers Federation of Cochabamba Rural Education) and Mr. Sister. Visit Spain cooperating Event





During 19 and 20 August 1919 young people from Spain, in an organized program by the Solidarity Project, have made a visit to Yachay Chhalaku to know a little about the work we are developing. The thematic focus of the visit was the area of \u200b\u200beducation, since most were teachers and aid workers and teachers.
In this sense, after a small gathering of context on the work of Yachay Chhalaku in general, and aid workers were able to see live intercultural workshop with children from the city of Cochabamba, a visit to the school of Tutimayu community, and finally move to the community of Challviri (Palca Rural District), which were able to learn a little about the plight of girls and children, yet also know something of the cultural wealth of this place, because the children had prepared stands to show some knowledge and practices of the community and to visitors.
