Suomen Joutsen (former name of the Laennec, Oldenburg) is a three-masted frigate of the steel hull. Its dimensions are: Length: 84.3 m, width: 12.2 mi Depth: 6.3 m.
was built in 1902 in St Nazaire in France, to serve, in trade between ports on the Atlantic and Pacific. In 1930 it was bought by the Finnish government as a military training ship. Before World War II ship did eight long sea voyages. Since 1956 the school was fixed for seafarers in the Merchant Marine of Finland. Since 1991, the ship-museum, owned by the city of Turku in Finland.
