Himeji Castle: The castle tower
Himeji Castle is a Japanese castle, located in the city of Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture. It is one of the oldest extant buildings of medieval Japan. In 1993 he became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Together with locks: Matsumoto and Kumamoto creates a group of Japanese "three famous castles and is one of the most visited castles in Japan. It is also known as Hakuro-jō or Shirasagi-jo (White Heron Castle) due to the white exterior finish.
